Passivation Process

Mini-Flex offers the passivation process to machined parts only.

Formed Metal Bellows:
Mini-Flex does not recommend passivation to a metal bellows due to the possibility of acid entrapment. Electropolish is an approved replacement to passivation.

Bellows Tubing:
Bellows tubing typically does not require passivation, but the application may be performed in a tested and controlled environment to remove scale and oxidation.

Machined Parts:
Mini-Flex offers passivation process for machined parts, as required by customer.
